Ottawa tourist information - The Canada Aviation Museum Located at Ottawa‘s historic Rockcliffe Airport, the Canada Aviation Museum’s aim is to ‘illustrate the development of the flying machine in both peace and war from the pioneer period to the present time’. It’s not just Canadian aviation that is celebrated here, although particular attention is paid to Canadian aviation history and the role of Canadian aircraft during wartime and peacetime. There are over 100 aircraft exhibits at the museum, protected from the elements in a huge hangar. Wartime adversaries the Spitfire and the Messerschmitt are both on show along with kit airplanes, helicopters and fighter aircraft. http://www.aviation.technomuses.ca/
