Ottawa tourist information - Canada Agricultural Museum

Canada’s capital city is the only capital in the world with a working farm at its heart. Here in Ottawa you will find the Agricultural Museum – the largest urban working farm and research station in Canada.

Exhibitions can be viewed at the farm from March to October and numerous activities are organised throughout the warmer months. The animal barns are open all year round where visitors can get up close with the farm animals and see a modern dairy farm in full operation. There is no restaurant or café on the site but you can bring your own food and enjoy the ample picnic areas provided.

Another place of interest on the site is the Dominion Arboretum and ornamental gardens featuring over a quarter of a million square metres of hardy trees, shrubs gardens and park land.
