Montreal - The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

Founded in 1860 as the Art Association of Montreal, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is Canada’s oldest art institution and houses thousands of pieces of European artwork featuring masters such as Picasso and Edvard Munch. The museum boasts numerous ancient sculptures, ceramics, glasswork, textiles and functional objects from Africa, Asia and pre-Columbian collections from Central and South America. Mediterranean archeology is well represented in the museum with an extensive collection of sculptures and decorative bronzework.
