Montreal - McCord Museum
Founded in 1921 by Canadian lawyer and avid collector David McCord, the museum named for its founder celebrates and preserves Canadian history. The museum contains thousands of paintings, drawings and prints alongside period costumes, archeological artifacts and over 1 million photographs – all providing a historical overview of Montreal and Canada from the 18th century to the present day.
Guided tours can be reserved and a variety of cultural activities are also available throughout the year that will appeal to visitors of all ages. They include workshops, treasure hunts, theatrical and musical presentations, lectures and concerts.
